Alright…..

I would like to thank the Four Host First Nations, the Coast Salish Peoples for allowing me to be on their territory, Tewanee Joseph for being a great role model and spokesperson for the Native Peoples of Canada, the 300 delegates at IYG who danced their hearts out for the World. And to the World for finally paying attention to us.

Day Fifteen- Feb 13th

So we get up early in the morning and head to the main camp where my bags are already packed (more on that) and I go and put my bags on the bus where I learn that I have to take them off when we get downtown (I was expecting to leave them on the bus until after the Canada’s Women Hockey Game)

So we get off downtown at the Aborinal Pavilliob where they were having a special Youth Day for us. I can’t go have to bring my bags to where I am staying.

So I will need one of the other Yukon Youth to fill in that part. (the Pavillion and the GE Robson Square Ice Skate)

So at about 3:30pm I get ready to go to the Hockey Game. I am not far from Robson Street so I quickly walk there. There are TONS of people, it takes me forever just to walk one block, so I quickly get off Robson and head to the SkyTrain which is not as busy as I thought it would be. Hopped on and arrived at Stadium Station where there is a lineup that is 8 blocks!!! I am not kidding!!1 8 blocks!

Lucky for me, I got to jump the line because of my accreditation.

So I get in, get some food, sit in my seat and watch the Women kick Slovakias butt hardcore!

19-0

Yeah! We are so winning GOLD!!!

After the game, I hop on the SkyTrain to downtown where I am staying.

Day Fourteen- Feb 12th IYG Celebration

By the time we left BC Place, I was super tired. We got on the bus after rushing out of BC Place in 20 mins. We were all buzzing with excitement, and then we started driving through Stanley Park… Very very slowly.

They were stalling us, because they weren’t ready to receive us at Chief Mathias Center in North Vancouver.

We went there and we had to wait more (of course) then we went in to Stressed Street and doing a round dance. I sat. Tired.

Then we had a YUMMY dinner. And my friend MF was there so that was good.

And then they had a dance. Which I sat. Tired.

Then we got back where I went straight to sleep. zzzz
